Beginner Driver Education starts with learning theory. At GR8 Drivers, that’s self-paced e-learning — on your phone, tablet or laptop, whenever you have twenty minutes.
No weekend sessions. No commute. No waiting for the next class to start.

How it works
Choose a package and pay in about two minutes. Your course login arrives by email, so you can start the first module tonight.
Lessons with a certified instructor, booked around school and work — evenings and weekends included. We pick you up and drop you off.
When you finish, we certify you with the Ministry. You may be eligible to book your G2 road test at eight months instead of twelve — and take it in our car if you like.
The GR8 way
That's the 8 in our name. A road test checks that you can drive. We teach you to read the road — to see the hazard before it becomes one, to leave room for someone else's mistake, and to stay calm while you do.
Space, scanning and anticipation are part of every lesson, not a module at the end.

Yes. Our 20 hours of self-paced e-learning are the Ministry-approved alternative to in-class instruction. With ten hours in-car and ten hours of home-link activities, it completes the 40-hour Beginner Driver Education program.
With a G1, you'd normally wait 12 months before your first road test. With a Ministry-approved BDE curriculum, you may be eligible to take it after eight.
Not to enrol. You can sign up and start the online learning right away without it. You'll just need your G1 before your first in-car lesson, and you can add your licence number any time before then.
Our Beginner Driver Education packages start at $524.47, plus the $75 online course, the $48.89 MTO certification fee and HST. That covers 10 hours of in-car lessons, 10 hours of home-link activities and 20 hours of e-learning. Just need lessons? They're $55 an hour with a G1 or $65 with a G2, or $265 and $315 for five hours.
The package price covers in-car lessons, home-link activities, and pick-up and drop-off. The online course ($75) and the MTO certification fee ($48.89) are listed separately, and HST is added on top. Nothing else.
Yes. When we call or email to confirm the enrolment, we'll arrange payment with whoever is paying. You can also share this page with the button under the packages.
We book lessons around school and work, evenings and weekends included. Pick-up and drop-off are free, from home, school or work, across Durham Region and the GTA.
No. We're a Pickering driving school, and we give driving lessons across Durham Region, including Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa and Courtice. Live outside Durham, in Scarborough for example? We may still be able to teach you, with your lessons in Durham Region. Call 647-226-0074 to check.
It's up to you. Keep a steady pace online and on the road, and you can complete the program in as little as two weeks.

Yes. It's included in GR8-2. On its own it's $150 for the G2 road test and $165 for the G road test, within 20 km.
Add lessons any time: $55 an hour with a G1, $65 with a G2, or save with five-hour bundles. GR8-3 includes five extra hours from the start.
